The alternative Hallowe'en countdown; or, some things are creepy that aren't ment to be

As a self-proclaimed doyenne of forgotten pop culture, I've decided that over the next week I'm gonna resurrect this zombie blog* ("IT'S ALIVE!!") and share with you all some little-known TV episodes and films to lead you to the countdown to Hallowe'en.

None of them are the usual Hallowe'en horror stuff, instead I'm opting for things that aren't necessarily meant to scare but do so anyway. They're creepy, unsettling, surreal and bizarre and (hopefully) are things that you've not seen before. All of them (bar one) are free to watch online, so starting Sunday I'll be uploading a post each day to put you in the spooky season mood.

*my blog tends to be resurrected every other year in a manic flurry, then quickly left to fend for itself, so it's a disjointed mess; a bit like it's owner :P
