The Danhausen Spite Tour 2024 day 3; or, Freelance Wrestling 7 March Chicago, IL

 It's standing room only at the Emporium Arcade Bar for Freelance Wrestling in Chicago.

This is what happens when you don't plan your moves

This match actually kicked off a month earlier, when Danhausen made a surprise appearance to call out Trevor Outlaw and Frank the Clown.

So, back to the Emporium Arcade Bar. It's a bit of a tight squeeze as people are clustered around the ring. Rumour has it¹ that CM Punk turned up to watch Danhausen (ah, we do stan a supportive bestie, or whatever da kidz say these days). Unsure whether he hung about in the rafters like some Phantom of the Opera Wrestling or did a 'I am not the wrestler you're looking for' Jedi mind-trick to avoid detection.

Outlaw makes his entrance to a mixed and somewhat muted reaction. Then we hear the familiar strains of Kersed and the crowd erupts to chants of "DANHAUSEN, DANHAUSEN, DANHAUSEN!" He reminds the crowd of who he is (he's very nice, very evil). Danhausen gets cheered, Outlaw gets booed.

Before the match can kick-off, Outlaw calls a time-out and everyone groans 'cos here comes Frank the Clown. With Danhausen preoccupied with Frank, Outlaw clonks him on the back of the head. In retaliation, Danhausen takes him to the corner and commences to do the ol' 10 count of punches. The fight gets taken to the outside and we start making our way to the pinball machines (noooooo! Don't hurt the poor pinball machines!) Luckily, the pinballs go unscathed (phew!) and the crowd start chanting again as Danhausen whales on Outlaw. It's pretty claustrophobic, with the crowd right up to the apron. The fight goes back to the ring, but Frank interferes and Outlaw gives Danhausen a draping DDT.

He starts laying it on Danhausen and Frank joins in, to much booing. They both take turns in beating on Danhausen and Outlaw attempts a pin but Danhausen kicks out at the two count. Danhausen 'hulks up' and starts getting his own back. Knees to the head and suplexes galore, the crowd start chanting "TEETH, TEETH, TEETH!" and Outlaw gets a mouthful of teeth and a kick to the head. 1-2-WAIT! A kick out at 2 (BOOO-UUUURNNSSS!) Danhausen goes for a GTS but Outlaw turns it into a flipping neck breaker and another pin attempt, but Danhausen kicks out. The crowd are hot and chant on for Danhausen. He finally gets Trevor into a GTS and 1-2-3- he's out! Danhausen turns his attention to Frank and now it's his turn for a GTS, but Outlaw gives Danhausen a low-blow and the ref throws out the match. Outlaw once again tries to beat down Danhausen, but a run-in by Chico saves the day. The crowd cheers as they both celebrate in the ring.

SCORE: 5 outta 5 pinball machines. Ain't nobody doing any suicide dives in this venue.

¹And by 'rumour' I mean Danhausen himself not only told us but also put a photo up on his Instagram of them hanging out.
